Eco-friendly modular home displayed at Greenbuild

Method Homes
One of the highlights of the recent Greenbuild 2012 Expo in San Francisco was a modular home incorporating many of the ideas discussed at the conference.
The 772-square-foot modular home was set up outside San Francisco’s Moscone Center for attendees to tour.
Built from renewable and recycled materials, it had a rainwater collection, two outdoor greenhouses, and a graywater reuse system.
Energy efficient design and solar panels further reduced its impact on the environment.
As designed and built by Method Homes and Bogue Trondowski Architects, this attractive small house demonstrated how sustainable building can be done efficiently, practically, and economically.
