Pacific Marine Mammal Center hit by flooding

Pacific Marine Mammal Center received significant damage during the recent flooding in California.

Melissa Sciacca reported that all the animals in their care are doing fine and have been evacuated to the Fort MacArthur Animal Care Center in Long Beach until further notice. “We feel so grateful that no one has been hurt, and that all patients have survived,” she said.

Pacific Marine Mammal Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of marine mammals stranded along the Orange County coastline. Located in Laguana Beach, PMMC also works to increase public awareness of the marine environment through education and research.
