Protect Puffins from Starvation
As climate change warms ocean waters, more and more fish species are dwindling, leaving puffins hungry. It is up to us to curb the carbon pollution that is devastating puffins. Tell the EPA you support limiting carbon pollution from proposed coal-fired power plants.
Sign the Petition. Protect Puffins.
Urge FWS Director Dan Ashe to move forward with the proposal to list the northern long-eared bat as endangered throughout its range and to reconsider its decision not to list the eastern small-footed bat under the Endangered Species Act.
Carbon dioxide is one of the greenhouse gases contributing to global warming and subject to the Kyoto Protocol. Carbon emissions from deforestation, the burning of fossil fuels, changes in land use, and other human activities are increasing, while the earth's ability to soak up, or "fix" the carbon, is decreasing because of ocean and forest changes. Reforestation is a way to help restore the balance.
