Goal: 25,000 Progress: 10,414
Sponsored by: Defenders of Wildlife

We, the American people, oppose drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, our nation's largest and wildest refuge.

We will not give up. We will stand united with other conservationists and the Gwich'in people in our efforts to prevent drilling from decimating this nursery for millions of migratory birds, polar bears and the Porcupine caribou herd which is crucial to the Gwich'in people.

We will hold supporters of Arctic Refuge drilling accountable. We will call out members of Congress who voted for this tax scam. We will force oil companies and others that may seek to drill the Arctic Refuge to consider backlash from the public, their shareholders and investors.

Please stand with us. Together, we hope to collect a pledge signature for every caribou in the 200,000-strong Porcupine caribou herd, which is sustained by land we all own together as Americans.

Sign the pledge today.

As someone who cherishes America's wildlife and public lands, I pledge to continue to oppose drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the wildest place left in America. I will encourage my elected officials to reverse course and pass permanent protections for this unparalleled wilderness. As a taxpayer, I will insist that no federal money facilitates lease sales in this cherished landscape. As a consumer and investor, I will actively discourage oil companies from participating in any effort to explore, lease or drill in the Arctic Refuge.
