May 30, 2014 - The earrings I bought seem both smaller then I expected and they are not the true blue shown in the picture. I did not understand that dichroic glass does not always come out the exact same colors each time. Because I was slightly disappointed by the green and the feeling of smaller size I dropped the stars down. I do like them though, and kept them and wear them with greens instead of blues.

May 26, 2014 - These are even prettier than pictured. Love them!

May 24, 2014 - Beautifully crafted. I love the color and the light shining through. My friends love them, too!

May 24, 2014 - Slightly smaller than I expected, even though the picture is accurate with respect to size. The earrings are incredibly beautiful. I really enjoy wearing them. Mine have a stronger yellow color to them but the blues and greens shine through at different angles for a great effect!

May 23, 2014 - I was stunned by these ear rings. Very detailed and vibrant. I love them!!!

Artisan DichroDreams

In 2003 Johana Vazques was a single mom in Guadalajara struggling to support five children on her own when she heard about Dichrodreams -- a local enterprise which taught locals the art of dichroic glassmaking. Johana entered the training program and was soon making beautiful jewelry. She began earning a living wage, and her family's future changed forever.

Johana puts it this way: "Through my hard and skilled work I have been able to give food, shelter, education, and medical attention to my five kids. Two of the older ones now work in the company. It has been a world of opportunities for all of us."

Iridescent dichroic glass is made by combining crystal and metal at high heat, an art form that originated in ancient Rome. The artisans of Dichrodreams took the craft a step further by incorporating sterling silver into the mix in 1999, experimenting with new techniques. The result is an exceptional work of art. Today Dichrodreams jewelry is sold in 55 countries, making it a leader in the dichroic glass and silver jewelry industry.
