Outlet! Was $19.95!

Harness the power of the wind and sun to make your backyard patio the place to be on summer evenings! A spiral of powder-coated metal twists in the wind above a hand-blown glass sphere for a dramatic accent to your garden decor.

Both spiral and sphere are treated with photo-luminescent crystals to provide a lovely glow-in-the-dark effect after dark. Spiral and glass sphere hang from a black chain with a sturdy loop for hanging at the top, and a link which allows freedom of movement right above the spiral.

Instructions for Use: Spiral may be displayed and viewed in a variety of settings, but placement in an area that receives plenty of sunlight during the day, yet is shaded or protected from ambient light (houselights, streetlights, etc.) in the evening will ensure best results.

  • Metal, glass, & photo-luminescent crystal
  • Spiral: 12" diameter (30.5 cm)
Glass ball: 3.5" diameter (8.9 cm)
  • Imported

August 20, 2015 - The phosphorescent "crumbles" are only on the upper side of the metal spiral so it needs to be hung low to be seen. Otherwise, just a blue glass ball--glass doesn't phosphoresce as the image implies.

July 31, 2015 - Having read the reviews BEFORE buying this, I still chose to buy it. It does NOT glow in the dark, but that's OK, because I LOVE seeing this hang from my wishing well during the day. It shares a space with my jam far (for the Baltimore Orioles) and doesn't hinder the birds from visiting the jam.

May 22, 2015 - I did not purchase this for its glowing power so I am very pleased with it - I bought it because it looked rather planetary to me and I also have the blown glass Saturn I bought from the rescue site - they look lovely together in my west garden.

May 14, 2015 - I've given several of these as gifts and they were very well received, just based on their unusual ornamental appeal. As for the glow-in-the-dark aspect, they actually do, but the problem is that you never see it -- they are phosphorescent and, when they've been exposed to light, they're discharging (glowing) constantly (even when it's still light), but by the time it's dark enough to see the glow, their phosphorescence is already spent. To check this out, put one out in the sun for an hour or so then immediately take it into a dark room or closet. Quite pretty, but unfortunately in the normal course of events you'll never see it.

March 11, 2014 - I was Extremely let down about the Spiral Glow in the Dark. It you pay the money which isn't CHEAP! And then it doesn't GLOW!! What's the point?? What can you do?
