Rustic chic is the new vogue! A robust weave in a scrumptious shade of chocolate makes this a standout choice to hold your accouterments.
In Ukambani, a semi-arid region in the Eastern Province of Kenya, women earn their living mostly by weaving baskets using sisal as a raw material. Sisal is a natural fiber (Agave Sisalana) that grows wildly in the region. The sisal leaves, which regrow quickly, are plucked, crushed, and twinned using traditional skills. Baskets, handbags, and other accessories are then woven by hand.
