"We are convinced the preservation of our surroundings is completely up to us, and that's where we focus our main efforts as we work with natural, sustainable materials."

After years working for one of Peru's major alpaca wool thread companies, Guillermo Lanzarte got together with friends from Arequipa to start their own venture. "My first incursion into the world of textiles was in 2001, but I come from a region known for its textile legacy," says Guillermo. "I love alpacas and their fleece, so I wanted to make sure it is worked in such a way that it highlights its natural attributes. We're careful about every detail and we respect the millenary tradition of alpaca wool weaves and knits.

"Our designs are contemporary, but the techniques are traditional. I work with a team of experts who have really mastered different knitting and crocheting techniques. We are proud of our work and for that we are extremely strict about quality control, from the moment we select the wool to the finished piece. Most of our designs feature the natural color of alpaca wool.

"The people that I work with are from Arequipa. We breathe the clean fresh air of the Andes that embraces our untouched lands. We are convinced the preservation of our surroundings is completely up to us, and that's where we focus our main efforts as we work with natural, sustainable materials."
